I was always told to stand up for what i believe in. No matter the circumstances. There are many people who dont listen to young people because they feel as though we dont have, the maturiy, the wisdom or the mental capacity, to think on the level of an adult. But it kills ke that so many young people have so many good ideas for different things but they are never heard because they're young. When I read the article about the cheerleading, it made me think about all the times young people were ignored as if we dont matter. The cheerleaders may b inspiring to many people because they are young people who voice their opinion whether others listen or not. They arent afraid to be different a bring attention to themselves and stand up for what they believe in and they take full advantage of their right to voice their opinions.

As we talked about in class. WE pay so much in tuition, yet we dont know half of the resources available to us n campus. There are so many activities, clubs, social and academic groups, and other resources that many people dont know about and never use. There are probably many things on this campus that is available to students that i may never use all four years but i still pay for them. Especially freshman, they have a lot to deal with when they get here that they almost dont have time to figure everything out, although its their responsibilty, everyone needs direction, and i feel like many of the students on this campus dont have any idea about the things that are available when everyone should kno what they have to use and how they can use it. I ran into this problem especially when we did our bibliography. I had no idea about ebscohost, nor did I know about looking up books in the library. If i hadnt take the chance to go and figure out how to use these things, I probably would have gone out my way to go to a local library, that I'm used to dealing with. But Im glad I took the time to search through things.
